The patented Xforce load cells are only available from Zwick Roell. These high-precision load cells are used for all our load frame ranges. Their design is based on the principle of axial/rotational symmetry, making them highly insensitive to transverse forces.
Before delivery, each load cell is calibrated as part of a complete system with the materials testing machine, drive and measurement/control electronics, providing fully accurate testing immediately after commissioning.
All Xforce load cells feature high insensitivity to parasitic influences such as transverse forces, bending moments, torque and temperature variations.
- Xforce load cells are very robust and can withstand loads up to 300 % of their capacity without mechanical damage and up to 150% without zero shift.
- These intelligent load cells possess a unique electronic identification system. All force limits and setting/calibration parameters are automatically recognized, eliminating the need for repeated calibration at switch-on or when changing from tensile to compression testing.
- The serial number of the load cell is electronically scanned by the machine controller and can be saved with the results or printed out, avoiding the risk of mistakes and allowing load-cell changes to be traced in the testing software.
- Every load cell is equipped with a precision-fit connecting bolt, allowing specimen grips and testing tools to be fitted quickly and play-free, with optimum alignment to the test axis.
- Xforce load cells fulfil all 5 criteria of ISO 7500-1 accuracy classes over a very large measurement range, frequently eliminating the need for a second load cell.
- Used in conjunction with testControl, Xforce HP and Xforce K load cells offer significantly better linearity than required by ISO 7500. What is more, this is generally true over a larger measurement range and - even more significantly - at very low forces and in excess of 100 % of capacity.
- These load cells are designed for use up to 150 % of their capacity. The full measurement range is available even with high pre-loads due to heavy test fixtures, or specimen grips.
