Sheet Metal Testing Machines

These machines (type BUP) are used to test and evaluate the ductility of sheet metals. Typical test methods and Standards are cupping tests to Erichsen (DIN EN ISO 20482), earing tests (DIN EN 1669 square cup tests, hole expansion tests, FLC test and bulge test.

  • BUPs are available in 5 sizes with a maximum ram force of 100, 200, 400, 600 or 1000 kN.
  • Bayonet mountings allow test tools to be exchanged quickly and easily.
  • Low piston-actuator friction ensures precise measurement recordings and excellent test reproducibility.
  • Quiet in operation - motor and hydraulic pumps only run during test.
  • Easily transportable thanks to compact construction.
  • A press function is incorporated in the BUP, allowing a blank to be pressed and a cup drawn in one operation (from BUP 200).
  • A hydraulic cup extractor integrated in the punch simplifies removal of  cups (from BUP 200).
  • All functions are hydraulically and electrically interlocked. The test is not performed until all safety contacts have been monitored.
  • Test sequences are individually adjustable, e.g. deep drawing speed and clamping force.
  • With optional testXpert® testing software the results can also be evaluated and saved as graphics.
